The Peach State announced on Monday that it is starting an election audit following the Dec. 6 Senate runoff.

In a press release, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office announced that it would hold a press conference Tuesday to determine the selection of batches that will be used for the audit. County election officials will then start their investigation the following day.

The specific information on the audit will be posted on each county’s website, the press release noted.

The audit succeeds one of the most competitive races of the 2022 midterm elections, where Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock kept his seat after a strong challenge from Republican candidate Herschel Walker.

Following Warnock’s win, Walker told supporters that there was no one to blame for his loss and encouraged them to “continue to believe in this country,” Fox News reported.

However, Georiga continues to be troubled by election irregularities.

As per RSBN, the Amistad Project and the American Voters’ Alliance attained several reports from election observers in Fulton County about how the county mishandled the election. Complaints revealed that ballots were not being tracked or verified properly, with observers not being able to oversee the ballot duplication process.
