“Join us in asking for the resignation of Pinal County Elections Director David Frisk,” an election night statement from the Republican Party of Arizona read after several irregularities became evident.

“What has happened over the last few weeks is absolutely unacceptable,” the group tweeted,” The people of Pinal deserve better.”

The call for Frisk to resign follows numerous reports of Republican-heavy precincts running out of in-person ballots as well as thousands of mail-in ballots being sent to the wrong voters.

While some Arizona races were decisive, others did not end in a clear victor on Tuesday night.

Trump-endorsed Reps. Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs easily cruised to victory, defending their positions in Congress. However, Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who also has the 45th president’s support, ended her campaign watch party in a waiting game due to the slow counting of the votes.

Lake announced in remarks to her supporters that, regardless of the slow onset of election night results, she is confident that she will be elected governor.

Her official campaign account tweeted, “Two out of three people who have voted today have voted for @KariLake so far.”

However, acknowledging the reports of irregularities, Lake reaffirmed her commitment to tackling the state’s faulty elections practices.
