Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., took to social media to share some good news about the Colorado House race, announcing that “almost all the votes have finally been tallied,” with less than 200 votes outstanding.

She added, “We have won this race! With this victory, and with Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, we can focus on the issues that actually matter most, including getting inflation under control, increasing our domestic energy supply, securing the southern border, and being a strong check on the White House.”

The race in Colorado has been tight, with Boebert and her Democrat opponent, Adam Frisch, trading narrow leads since last week. According to The Denver Posy, Boebert held a lead of 543 votes on Thursday, triggering an automatic recount that will likely fail to change Boebert’s position as the victor in the race.

“Now, over the next couple of weeks, this race will have an automatic recount, which will be completed in early December,” Boebert explained in her Thursday evening video. “My campaign team and our lawyers will definitely make sure everything is conducted properly.”

She pointed out, “Past recounts in Colorado have resulted in far fewer votes being adjusted than anything that could affect the current outcome we’re seeing tonight in this race.”

Boebert has been a vocal critic of the Biden administration and has come under fire from radical left Democrats for her support of President Donald Trump and her strong advocation for conservative policies.

Boebert easily won her Colorado primary election in June, defeating State Sen. Don Coram with roughly 65 percent of the vote, per RSBN.

According to The Denver Post, if Boebert’s victory sticks after the recount process is complete, she will head back to the House of Representatives with the majority party in 2023.
