Maricopa County, Arizona is reportedly “dragging their feet” on releasing the election results for their county two days after the primary Election Day took place.

Kari Lake, Arizona’s presumptive gubernatorial nominee for the GOP, commented on Twitter, “Well done, everyone. You completely overwhelmed the system on Election Day! The more votes they count, the higher our lead grows. Is this why they are dragging their feet?”

She added, “Get it done. And remember: we have eyes everywhere. Hustle, @RecordersOffice[.]”

Senior Editor of Human Events, Jack Posobiec, remarked on Wednesday, “Maricopa County now says they will be releasing results Thursday night, after saying results would be out Wednesday night.”

According to a report from The Gateway Pundit, Maricopa County quit counting votes when candidate Kari Lake overtook her Republican opponent Karrin Taylor Robson.

On Wednesday, the Maricopa County Elections Department tweeted, “Unofficial results are updated and 715,949 ballots have been counted. We will still have to count the rest of the verified early ballots and dropped off on Election Day, verified provisional ballots, & write-in candidates. We’ll post more results Thursday after 7 P.M.”

The Gateway Pundit additionally pointed out that the department previously tweeted early Wednesday morning that they had called a “wrap” on election counting. “We’ll post updated results again by 7 P.M. Wednesday.”

It has been two days since Election Day, and many people are wondering why Maricopa County is taking so long to tally the votes. On Thursday afternoon, Maricopa County’s results from the Elections Department noted that Karrin Taylor Robson was holding 4.6 percent to Kari Lake’s 4.5 percent. However, the final results have yet to be tallied.

The Kari Lake War Room shared their comments on the situation in a tweet on Thursday morning. “We have moved on to planning and strategizing for the general at @KariLake HQ,” they said. “The only ones pretending this race isn’t over is our corrupt media, desperate to keep the @AZGOP weak & divided. We will not play along. All of our energy is focused on defeating @katiehobbs.”
