President Trump is lending support to congressional candidate and California Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, R-Rocklin, calling him a “MAGA Champion” who will fight California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“Kevin Kiley, who is running for Congress in California’s 3rd Congressional District,” Trump stated in his official endorsement on Saturday, “has been a conservative champion in the California State Capitol – no one has fought Gavin Newsom harder than Kevin.”

According to a report from the California Globe, Kiley was elected to serve as a California assemblyman in 2016 and was reelected in 2020, reportedly garnering more votes than any Republican in California history.

“He doesn’t wait for the fight, like the do-nothing RINO’s who have watched California get absolutely destroyed by the radical maniacs in Sacramento,” Trump continued in his endorsement. “Kevin is smart and tough.”

The 45th president also noted that Kiley received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard and his law degree from Yale. “Kevin Kiley is tough on securing our border, ending California’s reckless universal mail-in ballots and securing our elections,” Trump stated.

Kiley has unabashedly gone head-to-head with Gov. Newsom in Sacramento, particularly since 2020, following the leftist governor’s radical lockdown measures and regulations that affected both the broad workforce and educational institutions of the Golden State.

The California Globe further reported that Kiley also took part in suing Gov. Newsom in 2020, arguing that the Democrat leader had overstepped the boundaries of his emergency powers in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Additionally, Kiley has been a staunch advocate of parental rights in California, fighting a slate of vaccine mandates that have been floated in the state legislature over the past few months. “The bill removing parental consent for 12-year-olds to get vaccinated just passed the Senate by a single vote,” Kiley stated last week on Twitter. “We will stop this obscene legislation in the Assembly.”

President Trump added in his endorsement that Kiley would be “a MAGA Champion in Congress” who has his “Complete and Total Endorsement!”
