A June poll shows that most Republican voters would choose President Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for president in 2024.

The 45th president’s polling numbers among GOP voters saw a one-month increase of 15 percent. In May, 41 percent of Republican voters said they would vote for Trump in a prospective GOP primary in 2024. In June, that number increased to 56 percent of Republican voters.

The Harvard Caps Harris poll shows Trump is receiving a growing advantage over other potential GOP rivals. The polling data is also notable considering the Jan. 6 Committee’s investigation and attacks against Trump during June.

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said, “With all the lies and the greatest Witch Hunt in U.S. History…my number went up.” In true Trump fashion, he added, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

If the 45th president chooses not to run for office again in 2024, Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., is the clear Republican favorite. The polling data shows that 36 percent of Republican voters would choose DeSantis if Trump does not run.

Trump has frequently blasted the Jan. 6 Committee’s investigation and claimed that the Democrats are distracting from the real issue of election fraud in the 2020 election. However, he has also pointed out that most Americans do not care about or support the Jan. 6 probe.

Trump has argued that the Democrats’ efforts to release confidential information about the 45th president is a dangerous precedent for the nation.

On Wednesday, Trump stated, “Why would a future President of the United States want to have candid and important conversations with his White House Counsel if he thought there was even a small chance that this person, essentially acting as a ‘lawyer’ for the Country, may some day be brought before a partisan and openly hostile Committee in Congress, or even a fair and reasonable Committee, to reveal the inner secrets of foreign policy or other important matters.”

Trump said this precedent is “So bad for the USA!”
