After a week of chaos surrounding President Donald Trump’s potential indictment and arrest, his campaign is boasting $1.5 million in contributions.

Fox News reported that “Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign confirmed that they hauled in $1.5 million in grassroots fundraising in the three days following” President Trump’s warning of his possible arrest on Truth Social.

The flurry of news began last weekend when President Trump took to Truth Social to inform Americans that “THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

Rumors of his potential arrest came after “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan DA’s office unveiled that talks were underway with the secret service to determine how and when President Trump would “surrender” himself if he were formally charged over an alleged hush money payment in the Stormy Daniels case.

While this narrative was quickly dismantled by a letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyer to the FEC and a letter denying the affair from Stormy Daniels herself, the Manhattan DA, Alvin Bragg, has yet to make any announcement that his office will stop its weaponization against President Trump.

Asking Americans to support his campaign, President Trump posted on Truth Social, “If you are doing poorly, as so many of you are, do not send anything. If you are doing well, which was made possible through the great policies of the Trump Administration, send your contribution to donaldjtrump.com/ We have to take back our Country and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

It would come as no great surprise that Trump remains an effective fundraiser within the GOP.

In fact, Fox News further reported, “The former president brought in roughly $9.5 million in fundraising in the six weeks following his mid-November campaign launch – a respectable figure but less than the nearly $12 million his fundraising committees hauled in during the six weeks prior to his announcement that he was running a third time for the White House.”
