President Trump mocked the ratings for the televised hearings conducted by the “January 6th Unselect Committee,” pointing out that audiences are not interested in hearing from people who also relentlessly pushed the now-disproven claims of collusion between Trump and the Russians.
“The T.V. Ratings for the January 6th Unselect Committee were absolutely awful,” Trump wrote in a fiery post on Truth Social. “Perhaps the reason is that it is being ‘sponsored’ by Adam ‘Shifty’ Schitt and the same people that brough you the Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX, and that the Unselects are not interested in hearing from anyone saying the Election was Rigged and Stolen, despite the EVIDENCE being irrefutable!”
According to Nielsen ratings reported by the New York Times, roughly 20 million people tuned in to the hearing scheduled during prime time hours last Thursday.
Furthermore, a report from The Western Journal revealed ABC’s normal 7.4 million viewers for their usually scheduled “World News Tonight” dropped to 4.35 million viewers for the hearing.
The Jan. 6 hearings began last week, conducted by a panel of highly partisan lawmakers, following months of seemingly never-ending investigations, subpoenas, and allegations against President Trump and his allies.
In a statement, committee members claimed they would “present previously unseen material documenting January 6th, receive witness testimony, preview additional hearings, and provide the American people a summary of its findings of the coordinated, multi-step effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and prevent the transfer of power.”
Despite endless investigations into the media-labeled “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the committee has insisted on televising the new set of public hearings. The hearings have also been heavily promoted in the mainstream media and on left-leaning “Big Tech” platforms like Twitter, which have pushed the televised hearings to the top of the “What’s Happening” trending topic list in America.
Conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza recently commented on the hearings, remarking that his film, “2000 Mules,” blows up “their underlying premise.” The wildly popular documentary investigates shocking evidence of a nationwide ballot trafficking conspiracy that casts serious doubt on the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election.
“The 2020 election was demonstrably stolen by the Democrats,” D’Souza added. “Patriots came to D.C. on January 6 to complain about that!”
