President Donald Trump will reportedly surrender in New York on Tuesday for an upcoming indictment for unknown charges from the Manhattan district attorney’s office, according to a report from The New York Times.
On Thursday, reports broke that the Manhattan grand jury investigating the years-old allegations of “hush money” to Stormy Daniels had voted to indict the 45th president, shocking the nation with the unprecedented action.
“They only brought this Fake, Corrupt, and Disgraceful Charge against me because I stand with the American People, and they know that I cannot get a fair trial in New York!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Thursday evening.
According to The New York Times, metal barriers have been erected around the Criminal Courts Building in Lower Manhattan, and the New York Police Department has been asked to prepare for potential protests.
President Trump released an extensive statement on Thursday evening that responded to news of the indictment, ripping the “hand-picked and funded by George Soros” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
“I believe this Witch-Hunt will backfire massively on Joe Biden,” Trump stated. “The American people realize exactly what the Radical Left Democrats are doing here. Everyone can see it. So our Movement, and our Party – united and strong – will first defeat Alvin Bragg, and then we will defeat Joe Biden, and we are going to throw every last one of these Crooked Democrats out of office so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
President Donald Trump is the first president in history to be charged with a crime. He announced a bid for the 2024 presidency in November 2022, and he has since taken the lead in the GOP primary polls.
As reported by RSBN, the exact nature of the upcoming charges against Trump are still unknown but will be released at the time of arraignment.
