President Donald Trump issued a statement concerning his political future during an interview with Fox News following Michael Sussmann’s verdict this week.

According to Fox News, when asked if the verdict in Sussmann’s trial impacted Trump’s future political ambitions, Trump said, “If anything, it makes me want to fight even harder.”

On Tuesday, a jury found Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann not guilty of Special Counsel John Durham’s charge that Sussmann made a false statement to the FBI to link Trump’s presidential campaign with Russia in 2016, as previously reported

Durham released a statement Tuesday, saying, “While we are disappointed in the outcome, we respect the jury’s decision and thank them for their service.”

The controversial ruling in the courts led Trump to respond, “If we don’t win, our country is ruined.” He added, “We have bad borders, bad elections, and a court system not functioning properly.”

As Trump has pointed out numerous times over the past year and a half, “Our country is being systematically destroyed.”

Throughout his administration, the 45th president warned Americans about the double standard of justice for Republicans versus Democrats.

“They spied on my campaign. They got caught,” Trump told Fox News. “If a Republican would have done that, and the obvious steps forward, it would be a virtual death penalty.”

“This was totally illegal,” he added. “What they did was treason, and it also put our country in a lot of danger with Russia.”

After news of the jury’s decision was released Tuesday, Trump quickly responded, “Our Legal System is CORRUPT.”
