Project Veritas released jaw-dropping footage Monday of an alleged senior engineer at Twitter discussing his coworkers’ opposition to Elon Musk’s pending acquisition and what it represents.
Users have long speculated that Twitter strictly targets conservative voices and does not believe in free speech. However, that now seems to be confirmed by Twitter Sr. Engineer Siru Murugesan, who told an undercover Project Veritas journalist that free speech is one of the main issues employees fear with the new potential owner.
“Twitter does not believe in free speech,” Murugesan said. “Elon believes in free speech.”
The Twitter employee said that their “jobs are at stake” with Musk’s purchase of Twitter because “he’s a capitalist and we weren’t really operating as capitalists, more like very socialist,” adding that they are all “commie as f***.”
Murugesan confirmed that the tech giant is actively “censoring the right, and not the left,” insisting that the two parties cannot “coexist on one platform.”

While it is not shocking for many conservatives who felt the wrath of Twitter’s censorship policies, Project Veritas’ investigation proves that the platform’s disregard for free speech is not a conspiracy theory but deeply rooted in how the company conducts its business.
