Pence Addresses Relationship With Trump Since Capitol Riots, Urges GOP to “Move forward united”

Amid rising speculations that former Vice President Mike Pence may be eyeing a 2024 bid, Pence has spoken out on his current relationship with 45th President Donald Trump following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

In a Trump-like speech, Pence cleared the air and rallied attendees of the Lincoln Reagan Dinner fundraiser hosted Thursday night by the Hillsborough County GOP in Manchester, N.H.

Pence said he has spoken with Trump “many times” although he’s not certain they will “ever see eye-to-eye” on his decision to do what the Vice President said was his “constitutional duty” to certify the election results in his role as President of the Senate on Jan. 6.

However, Pence made it clear that despite their disagreement on the issue, he remains “proud” of what the Trump-Pence Administration accomplished together over the past four years.

Adding that Republicans must “not allow one tragic day” to “discredit” what the Trump White House achieved, nor allow anyone to “distract” from the radical agenda ushered in by the Biden Administration.

Republicans must “move forward united,” the former Vice President urged.

To win back power in 2022 and 2024, Pence said earlier in his remarks that “it’s time for freedom-loving Americans to unite behind an agenda that will bring America back.”

“The Republican Party has now become the home party for the American agenda. An agenda that believes in a strong national defense, and a limited federal government, and life, and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” he continued.

Taking the opportunity to compel Americans to reject the Biden administration’s radical agenda and altered version of history, Pence fired up the crowd declaring “America is not a racist country,” to which he received a standing ovation.

“Black lives are not endangered police, black lives are saved by police every day,” he said, in a jab at the “defund the police” movement.

Americans must reject the “anti-law enforcement agenda of Joe Biden…and put the lives of law-abiding citizens of every race, creed, and color, first.”

“America is the most just noble and inclusive nation that has ever existed on the face of the earth,” the former Vice President said in defiance of the narrative that America is a racist or evil country. “And the United States military is the greatest force for good the world has ever known….Police officers should be honored every day.”

Although Pence did not make announcements regarding political aspirations, he clearly intends to remain strongly involved in the effort to further the America First agenda and win back power for the Republican Party.
