MATTHEW ALVAREZ – LEAD ANCHOR
Matthew Alvarez joined Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) in September 2022 and is going on 20 years of television experience.
An Emmy-nominated journalist, Alvarez has worked in cities such as New York, Nashville, and Columbus, Ohio. In New York City, he uncovered a security lapse at Newark Liberty International Airport’s Terminal C, leading to an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security and local lawmakers. He also covered Superstorm Sandy along the New Jersey coast.
Alvarez began his broadcasting career at Robert Morris University’s RMU-TV 98 near Pittsburgh, PA. After college, he interned at Fox News Channel in Washington, DC, gaining experience in national reporting and attending press events at the White House and Pentagon.
A Christian Conservative, Alvarez transitioned from mainstream to conservative media in September 2022, covering his first Trump Rally in Wilkes-Barre Scranton, PA, for RSBN. During the New Hampshire Primary, he asked President Trump about Governor Ron DeSantis’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, leading to a widely covered exchange:
Alvarez: “Sir, are you going to keep using the name, Ron DeSanctimonious in your speeches?”
Trump: “That name is RETIRED!”
Alvarez is married to his lovely wife Jenna, and they are expecting a daughter later this year. They have a one-year-old Yorkie named Willow.
