As the crisis at the border continues to escalate, at least 25 states in the Union have declared solidarity with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and his move to take action to stop the unfettered flow of illegal immigration.

Recently, Gov. Abbott declared the state’s right to defend itself, arguing that the Biden administration had refused to carry out its constitutional duty of defending the border, declaring an invasion and moving to install more razor wire at the southern border.

This came after the U.S. Supreme Court issued a temporary ruling that said federal authorities could remove that razor wire from the border – although Texas is continuing to install it anyway, as reported by RSBN.

According to Newsweek, at least 25 Republican governors nationwide have issued statements of solidarity with Gov. Abbott in his argument that he has the right to secure the border.

Those 25 governors issued a joint statement that explained:

“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border. We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally.”

States like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Montana, Nevada, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Virginia have joined the coalition of states supporting Texas.

Even President Donald Trump has voiced his support for the Lone Star State, offering his comments on Truth Social on Thursday amid escalating tensions.

He wrote, “We encourage all willing States to deploy their guards to Texas to prevent the entry of Illegals, and to remove them back across the Border. All Americans should support the commonsense measures by Texas authorities to protect the Safety, Security, and Sovereignty of Texas, and of the American people.”
