Conservatives have the receipts to prove that Kamala Harris was placed in charge of the U.S. southern border despite recent claims that she was never “border czar.”

They blasted this new claim after Axios posted to X stating, “The Trump campaign and Republicans have tagged Harris repeatedly with the “border czar” title — which she never actually had.”

Journalist Nick Sortor responded, “Axios *THEMSELVES* reported multiple times that Harris was appointed by Biden as ‘border czar.’”

Political commentator Collin Rugg wrote, “The media is now claiming VP Kamala Harris was never the ‘Border Czar’ as the Trump campaign starts ramping up attacks.”

Axios released a report in March of 2021 that stated, “Biden puts Harris in charge of border crisis” and by April of 2021, Axios directly referred to her as the Biden-appointed “border czar.”

This comes as Time Magazine, The New York Times, Vox, and USA Today have also released reports downplaying or denying Harris’s role in the border crisis.

NBC News, and the AP News, reported on her direct role in “stemming the migration” issues in 2021, and the L.A. Times also referred to Harris’s role in the border crisis early this year.

Now, as the shifting political climate prepares for Harris to take Joe Biden’s place in the 2024 presidential election, the House Judiciary GOP chimed in on these new claims that Harris was never “border czar.”

They posted to X on Wednesday morning, stating, “Why are Democrats embarrassed to call Kamala Harris the border czar? Aren’t they proud of the Biden-Harris border policies?”
