Democrats are growing concerned as early voting results are totaled in Nevada, revealing a massive surge for Republicans in the swing state.
The state won by Biden in 2020 now shows nearly 100,000 more voters for Republicans than Democrats as of Nov. 1.
As of the latest update from the state of Nevada, 150,160 (27.7 percent) of early voters were Democrats, while 247,263 were Republicans (45.5 percent). Another 199,385 (26.8 percent) were listed as “Other.”
Early voting in Nevada has been lower, however, than in some swing states. Only 26.7 percent of eligible voters have cast their ballot so far in the election.
Democrats hope for a massive turnaround on Election Day. If not, Trump is expected to easily win the state’s six electoral votes.
A GOP win in Nevada would also serve as a major win for the Senate, as Republican candidate Sam Brown would help add to the odds of a new conservative majority as he battles incumbent Democratic Sen. Jacky Rosen.
Trump announced his endorsement of Brown in June, according to a post on Truth Social.
“Sam Brown is a FEARLESS AMERICAN PATRIOT, a Purple Heart Recipient, who has proven he has the “PURE GRIT” and COURAGE to take on our Enemies, both Foreign and Domestic. Sam is now running for U.S. Senate in the Great State of Nevada, primarily because he knows that Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left are A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY,” Trump wrote.
“Our Country can no longer stand with this Corrupt and Incompetent ‘President’ calling the shots. As your next Senator, Sam will fight tirelessly to secure our Border, end Migrant Crime, stop Inflation, grow our Economy, STRONGLY SUPPORT OUR GREAT MILITARY/VETS, protect our always under siege Second Amendment, and restore PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH…” he added.
The early voting totals also come as Trump holds a slim 1 percent point advantage over Harris in the state, according to RealClearPolitics. Various polls have shown Nevada as a toss-up, though early voting appears to show a different result.
As RSBN also reported, North Carolina announced a record level of early voters, with 4.2 million votes cast. The early voting total easily passed the previous record of 3.63 million early votes in 2020.
