Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, despite weeks of very public feuding with President Donald Trump, has reportedly donated millions to Trump-supporting Republican PACs, indicating that, perhaps, the political rift is not as bad as it may seem.

According to Fox Business, Musk donated a total of $15 million to Republican super PACs, including MAGA Inc. Surprisingly, FEC filings allegedly show that the MAGA Inc. donation was given just weeks after Musk’s criticism of Trump’s work to pass legislation in the House.

Over the past few months, Musk – a passionate supporter of President Trump’s 2024 campaign and a former White House advisor with DOGE – voiced his opposition to the president’s keystone legislation, the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

This sparked a public back-and-forth between the two men, as Musk seemingly used social media to lash out at the president while discouraging Republicans from voting for the bill. However, Trump’s legislation passed Congress nevertheless and was signed into law on July 4.

According to Politico, Musk has also given millions to “Building America’s Future,” a political organization set to run national ads on Fox News praising the passage of the OBBB.

The donations seem increasingly at odds with Musk’s recent public statements about President Trump and Republican leadership. It is especially curious, considering Musk launched the “America Party” over the summer as an attempt to cripple the two-party system in American politics. According to Fox, the launch of his third party also came only days after he donated the $15 million to Republicans.

Last month, President Trump addressed Musk’s announcement.

“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks. He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States – The System seems not designed for them,” he wrote in a statement.

Later, Trump clarified his sentiments about Musk, explaining that he wanted Musk’s businesses, as well as all businesses within the United States, to “THRIVE.”
