The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted Gal Luft, a sought-after whistleblower witness in the ongoing House investigation into Joe Biden’s alleged bribery scheme, just a few days after the “missing” witness uploaded a video overseas explaining that he had been allegedly arrested in Cyprus.
On Monday, the DOJ announced the unsealing of the eight-count indictment that charged Luft with “offenses related to willfully failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act,” also known as FARA.
He has also been accused of arms trafficking, Iranian sanctions violations, and making “false statements” to federal agents.
Per the DOJ’s official statement:
“LUFT, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, was indicted on November 1, 2022, and arrested on February 17, 2023, in the Republic of Cyprus based on the charges in the Indictment. LUFT subsequently fled after being released on bail while extradition proceedings were pending and remains a fugitive.”
Ironically, Luft’s alleged foreign crimes are not hugely different from the evidence of an international crime being investigated by the House Oversight Committee in relation to the Biden family.
For example, the Biden family has been closely linked to CEFC, a Chinese-based energy company. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., has said that Luft had intelligence on Biden’s link to CEFC “long before” Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop exposed evidence of the Biden family’s connection with the company.
Comer told Newsmax last week that Luft was a “very credible” witness that had already been interviewed by the FBI. “We want to know why the FBI has never made public this interview,” he added.
Turning Point USA President Charlie Kirk observed the timing of the DOJ’s move to unseal the indictment against Luft on Twitter.
He wrote, “The DoJ has announced multiple indictments against Dr. Gal Luft, just days after the NY Post’s bombshell report featuring a 14 min video of Luft leveling explosive allegations of the Bidens selling out American interests to the Chinese.”
He added, “Dr. Luft alleges that the Bidens provided an FBI mole named ‘One Eye’ who tipped off CEFC that the FBI had launched an investigation into the Chinese energy company. He also claims Hunter and James Bides were being paid $165,000/month, combined, to lobby for the CCP controlled firm.”
On Tuesday, Rep. Comer stated, “Gal Luft was paid by CEFC, the CCP-linked energy company. The Bidens partnered with CEFC. Joe & Hunter planned to have office space. Bank records show CEFC wired millions to the Bidens. Luft supposedly shared info with the FBI on the Bidens & CEFC. I will request this record.”
