Donald Trump Jr. sat down with Tucker Carlson following the unprecedented guilty verdict against President Donald Trump in the New York hush money trial. Trump Jr. and Carlson discussed various aspects of the case, including how it will affect the campaign and what the future looks like for the Trump family.

“I don’t think there is anything they wouldn’t do,” Trump Jr. said in reference to the political opposition to Trump’s presidential campaign.

He continued by discussing the issues with the electoral system and the forces that influence it. “I think the system has probably been broken for much longer than any of us would care to admit.”

“Nothing changes until we actually fight back,” Trump Jr. said.

Carlson pointed out the dangerous precedent set by the verdict and concerns over where this type of politicization could lead. “There is sort of a lack of humanity, there’s a coldness, there’s an evil under all of this that I think I underestimated,” Carlson said.

“I think we all did, and by the way, I think many still do,” Trump Jr. responded.

When asked how people should respond, he stressed the importance of political involvement. “We have to take the initiative to get involved at every level of these things because the Left has taken over every major institution in our country…It can’t stand if we actually want to have a future.”

The guilty verdict has garnered support from President Trump, both among voters and Republican leaders. Even moderate Republicans and those who have expressed opposition to Trump have come to his side in the wake of the verdict.

President Trump has expressed his determination to continue his efforts despite the conviction. In an interview with Fox and Friends Weekend, Trump emphasized the political motives of the trial and the destructive effect these types of tactics will have. He also stated that he is still focused on his goal of success in spite of the opposition.
