The Federal Bureau of Investigation has failed to respond to a subpoena issued by the House Oversight Committee in the ongoing investigation that has been spearheaded by Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., several outlets have reported.

RSBN revealed on Monday that the FBI was poised to possibly brief Rep. Comer as the Oversight Committee continues to investigate Joe Biden and the entire Biden family’s link to shady business dealings over the past several years.

The committee had requested that the FBI provide a special form, FD-1023, which provides details on communications between FBI agents and their sources.

According to a report from Fox News, the FBI has reportedly refused to hand over the document requested by Comer and the committee, despite its link to an alleged bribery scheme in connection to the Biden family.

Via Fox News, Comer offered this comment on the situation:

“They don’t respect anyone in Congress. They’ve been able to get away with this for a long time. The media continues to turn a blind eye. The Senate Republicans continue to fund the FBI. Why would you change your business model when you’re getting everything you want?”

Last week, Comer sent a fiery letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding the release of the requested document, as the bureau allowed the committee’s May 10, 2023 deadline to pass without providing the form.

“The FBI’s delay in producing a single FD-1023 form is unacceptable,” the letter stated. “The Committee has already offered a reasonable accommodation to address the FBI’s stated confidentiality concerns but the FBI to date has refused to meaningfully engage in discussions about how the Committee can obtain the information that it needs.”

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., told Maria Bartiromo on Fox News this week that he believed that the House would obtain the document. “I explained to the director [FBI director Christopher Wray] that we will do everything in our power and that we have the jurisdiction over the FBI, that we have the right to see this document,” he said.

McCarthy added, “I believe, after this call, we will get this document.”

Unfortunately, it looks like the FBI has failed to comply with Comer’s subpoena so far.
