The Justice Department appeared to be more careless with “top secret” documents than they are accusing President Donald Trump of being after a Tuesday night court filing by the Justice Department revealed a photo of allegedly classified intelligence documents scattered on the floor.
The photo shared by the FBI shows documents labeled “top secret” scattered across the floor of the 45th president’s residence at Mar-a-Lago in what appears to be an attempt to stage a photo incriminating Trump by suggesting the allegedly classified materials were not properly secured. However, political analysts were quick to allege that the FBI’s photo was “staged.”
Senior editor of Human Events Jack Posobiec wrote, “Notice the FBI even staged the Time Mag cover here-they made sure of it. You are watching a movie.”
Americans across party lines have expressed outrage and concern about the political weaponization of the FBI following its unprecedented raid of a U.S. president’s home. Tuesday’s court filing by Joe Biden’s Justice Department only added fuel to the fire by revealing the lengths the FBI will go to incriminate the 45th president.
Betsy McCaughey, a New York Post columnist, tweeted, “FBI photo of documents strewn on floor implies Trump behaved carelessly with government documents. In fact it’s the FBI that placed the documents on the floor for a staged photo.”
By deliberately taking a photo of what they believe are classified documents thrown across the floor, the FBI appears to be engaging in the same behavior they accuse the 45th president of, which is acting recklessly with “top secret” documents.
Despite that Trump was cooperating with the FBI by installing additional protection for the documents at Mar-a-Lago per their request, the FBI launched an unprecedented raid on Trump’s residence and compromised the integrity of classified documents for a photo-op. Further, Trump’s team has maintained that the documents stored at his Palm Beach home were declassified.
However, the implications of the FBI’s recent behavior go further than negligence and hypocrisy. As McCaughey warned Americans, “You too could be the victim of this kind of dishonest ‘law enforcement.’ Be warned.”
If the FBI can raid the residence of a U.S. president and stage photos in an investigation, what would stop them from doing the same to an average American citizen?
Trump took to Truth Social Wednesday to point out the hypocrisy and deception of the FBI. “There seems to be confusion as to the ‘picture’ where documents were sloppily thrown on the floor and then released photographically for the world to see, as if that’s what the FBI found when they broke into my home,” he said. “Wrong! They took them out of cartons and spread them around on the carpet, making it look like a big ‘find’ for them.”
“They dropped them, not me – Very deceiving,” Trump continued. “And remember, we could have NO representative, including lawyers, present during the Raid. They were told to wait outside.”
In another post, Trump claimed the FBI’s staged photo could have been a deliberate attempt to “pretend” Trump had scattered the documents on the floor at Mar-a-Lago. He also pointed out the irony of the FBI sharing pictures of the “classified” information that they were supposedly concerned about Trump possessing at his residence. He wrote, “Thought they wanted them kept Secret? Lucky I Declassified!”
The FBI and the Department of Justice proved Tuesday to the American people that both agencies have been compromised by political bias, leading to an unprecedented age of a twisted version of justice in America, which is nothing short of hypocrisy and corruption.
As Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said, “The Biden FBI staged a dishonest photo with purportedly classified material, with the approval of the Biden DOJ, and submitted it to a court to try to make Trump look bad. These agencies are irredeemably corrupt.”
