Green insanity: A new study claims that breathing causes global warming

A new study by scientists connected with the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology in Edinburgh claims that human breathing increases greenhouse gasses that create global warming.

The study focused not on Co2 emissions but on methane and nitrous oxide. It claims that both contribute to global warming but notes, “These emissions from humans are not well understood.”

It also stated, “The predicted total emissions of these gases from humans is very small when compared to global emissions.”

The study also notes that vegetarian diets do not mitigate the situation but cause more guttural gasses to be emitted, resulting in “pollution swapping.”

The study only included 104 people who gave 328 breath samples.

In addition, the study concluded, “While emissions of CH4 and N2O account for only 0.05% and 0.1% of the total emissions in the UK national greenhouse gas inventories, respectively, we would urge caution in the assumption that emissions from humans are negligible.”

“We report only emissions in breath in this study, and flatus emissions are likely to increase these values significantly, though no literature characterises these emissions for people in the UK,” it added.

The conclusion then asserted, “Assuming that livestock and other wild animals also exhale emissions of N2O, there may still be a small but significant unaccounted for source of N2O emissions in the UK, which could account for more than 1% of national-scale emissions.”

The response to scientists’ newfound concerns over human breathing causing “global warming” went from jokes to concerns over political agendas.

Documentary filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza joked, “My strong recommendation is for people who believe this study to stop breathing. Breathing contributes to global warming and is not good for human survival.”
