This weekend, the National Mall in Washington, D.C., will be filled with Americans eager to cover the nation in prayer, kicking off an event that effectively marks the lead-up to the United States’ epic 250th birthday celebration.

Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, & Thanksgiving, is coordinated by Freedom 250. This initiative stems from the work of Task Force 250, ordered by President Trump to organize festivities in honor of the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration.

According to a press release from Freedom 250, this prayerful celebration, centered on rededicating the nation to God, will be held on Sunday, May 17, at the National Mall:

“From morning fellowship in front of the U.S. Capitol to an evening filled with music anchored at the main stage on 12th Street, Rededicate 250 will be rooted in giving thanks for God’s presence in our national life throughout 250 years of American history and asking for his guidance for the next 250.”

The celebration will be divided into three pillars, the organization said: The Miracles That Made Us (a focus on American history), The Miracles Still in Our Midst (personal testimonies), and A New Birth of Faith and Freedom (collective expressions of gratitude).

Guest speakers include high-profile political and faith leaders like Secretary of State Marco Rubio, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott (R), Dr. Ben Carson, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), Reverend Franklin Graham, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, and Pastor Jonathan Falwell.

Musical guests expected include Grammy-winning artist Chris Tomlin, as well as several choirs and bands, including the United States Navy Band and the Fanfare Trumpets of the United States Armed Forces.

This spiritual festivity is part of President Donald Trump’s longstanding vow to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with reverence and excitement. In 2023, while running for reelection, President Trump vowed that, as president again, he would create a task force that would “ensure not just one day of celebration, but an entire year of festivities across the nation starting on Memorial Day 2025 and continuing through July 4th, 2026.”

Gates for the event open at the National Mall on Sunday, May 17, at 9 AM EDT. Watch live coverage of the celebration on RSBN beginning at 8:30 EDT on Rumble, YouTube, Facebook, Truth Social, X, and RSBN’s official website.
