President Donald Trump will be making his first speech following his arraignment in Washington, D.C., at the Alabama GOP Dinner on Friday, where he will deliver remarks to eager state voters amid a heated 2024 primary season.
The event will be held at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Convention Center, according to ALGOP. President Trump is scheduled to deliver the keynote speech on Friday evening.
In Alabama, Trump has massively out-earned his Republican opponents in terms of campaign fundraising. According to AL.Com, Trump’s campaign haul “represents 70% of the overall total Republican presidential hopefuls raised in the state during the 2024 election cycle.”
On Saturday, the president will return to South Carolina and speak at the state Republican Party’s Silver Elephant Dinner. This is Trump’s first time returning to the Palmetto State since holding a massive MAGA rally in Pickens, where tens of thousands of patriots lined the streets to celebrate Independence Day alongside the president.
President Trump is also holding an impressive lead in South Carolina in GOP primary polls. According to a poll from Fox News from July, he is holding a 34-point lead over runner-up and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
