Joe Kent calls for a full forensic audit into Washington State’s 2020 election results

Trump-endorsed candidate for Washington State’s third Congressional District Joe Kent called on Democrats to join the demand for a full forensic audit into the state’s 2020 presidential election results.

“I’m calling on the Democrats to call off their Perkins Coie attack dogs and join us in our demand for a full forensic audit of Washington State elections,” Kent, a retired Navy Seal and Gold Star husband, said on Tuesday.

“When Perkins Coie is hired to block a bipartisan full forensic election audit, it’s a clear indicator the Democrats having something to hide,” he added.

According to the Washington Examiner, Kent and the other plaintiffs on the Election Integrity Coalition United (WEiCU) lawsuit claim auditors used uncertified voting machines. They alleged that thousands of ballots were manipulated. In September, suits were filed in Snohomish, Whatcom, and Clark counties.

The lawsuit alleges that 6,000 votes were flipped, and 400,000 were either added or removed in state races before, during, and after the election.

To prevent the election audits from taking place, Democrats in the state filed motions in October to block numerous lawsuits pushing for 2020 election audits, according to the Seattle Times.

In a press release, Kent criticized Washington State Democrats and Perkin Coie for positioning “themselves as the opponents of clean and fair elections” after attempts to intervene in the Washington Election Integrity Coalition United Lawsuit pushing a 2020 election audit.

“The current WEiCU lawsuit, to which I am a co-plaintiff, is a non-partisan attempt to force the country election offices to do their job and assure the public of the validity and integrity of our election systems,” Kent said. “By interjecting themselves as defendants, the state’s Democrat party has positioned themselves as the opponents of clean and fair elections,”

“Partisanship has no business in this necessary effort to investigate the counties’ conducting the last election and restore the public’s faith in our democracy,” Kent remarked. “I’m calling on the Democrats to call off their Perkins Coie attack dogs and join us in our demand for a full forensic audit of Washington State elections.”
