New York Judge Arthur Engoron finally handed down a decision in the New York civil fraud case that was brought against President Donald Trump by New York State Attorney General Letitia James.
The ruling came as Trump warned earlier this week that the ruling would be “A DARK AND SAD DAY FOR THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN NEW YORK STATE.” He alleged that the decision had already been leaked to the ‘FAKE NEWS MEDIA” by Judge Engoron or AG James.
According to The New York Times, Trump has been ordered to pay more than $350 million, and his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., have been ordered to pay several million, as well.
In addition, the outlet reported that Trump has been additionally banned from serving in a “top role” in any New York real estate company for at least three years, which includes the company that he now owns.
In a blistering swipe, Engoron also ruled that neither of the president’s adult sons could serve in a top role in their own company, either.
President Trump has already stated that he will appeal ruling from Engoron, which was expected to be negative from the beginning of the case. Trump wrote on Truth Social preceding the decision, “NO DAMAGES, NO VICTIMS – ONLY SUCCESS. CASE ALREADY WON ON APPEAL…WITCH HUNT!!! ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!”
Tesla, SpaceX, and X CEO Elon Musk even commented on his social media platform, “Given that there were no victims with losses, who is supposed to receive the money?”
