Trump-endorsed candidate for Arizona’s gubernatorial race, Kari Lake, condemned the FBI following Monday’s raid of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
“This is one of the darkest days in American history: the day our Government, originally created by the people, turned against us,” Lake said in a statement posted on Twitter. “This illegitimate, corrupt Regime hates America and has weaponized the entirety of the Federal Government to take down President Donald Trump.”
On Monday evening, President Trump revealed that his Florida home in Palm Beach was raided and occupied by the FBI while he was in New York City, RSBN previously reported.
Through his Save America PAC, President Trump wrote:
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”
Following the news, supporters of the 45th president gathered outside his Mar-a-Lago home with vehicles flying Trump flags and American flags, videos on social media showed.
To show solidarity, some supporters played Trump’s signature song used at his rallies, “God Bless the USA,” by Lee Greenwood.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also spoke out against the FBI raid, calling it “another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents.”
“The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” DeSantis wrote on Twitter.
