Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., stepped into the violence pervading Israel in the wake of Hamas terrorists’ brutal attacks this week, extending a helping hand to assist stranded Americans seeking an avenue back to the States.

“Since the Biden admin has failed to do their job once again, I’ve stepped in to rescue Americans stranded in war-torn Israel,” he explained on X.

According to Fox News, Mills assisted in evacuating 32 American people from Israel to Jordan this week, and the outlet reported that Mills plans on conducting a second mission soon. The operation was carried out with assistance from the U.S. Embassy in Jordan.

Mills continued, “In 2021, I was part of the team that conducted the first successful overland rescue mission of Americans from Afghanistan after the withdrawal of U.S. troops. Against all odds, our team saved four American citizens, even with the Biden administration working against our efforts.”

He added that while the Biden administration “has a record of leaving Americans behind, I refuse to be a part of their reckless inaction.”

Mills is a war veteran who previously served with the 82nd Airborne Division and the Joint Special Operations Commander Combined Joint Task Force 20 in the Middle East. Mills was also appointed as an advisor to the Department of Defense by 45th President Donald J. Trump.

Per Florida Politics, President Trump endorsed Rep. Mills in 2022 ahead of the midterm elections, calling him a “wonderful patriot” who had “long been a great fighter for our Country…”

Trump continued, “When everyone else is running away from the tough fights, Cory Mills is willing to stay back and fight.”

Via the Fox News report, Mills explained that several of the Americans he helped flee Israel had attempted to get help from the U.S. State Department to no avail.
