Maricopa County, Arizona, is potentially set to certify the election results from the 2022 midterms on Monday, despite an avalanche of evidence that the processes at the polls were wildly incompetent.
According to Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates, a canvass of the election results will be held on Monday, Nov. 28. “In the coming days, we will provide additional facts and transparency to those who have made public records requests of the country,” Gates said in a statement. “Most importantly we will fulfill our statutory responsibility to canvass this election on Monday.”
Notably, at least three counties in Arizona had stalled certification of their election results in November due to murky election processes and chaos on Election Day. Per RSBN, Cochise, Mohave, and Yavapai counties had delayed certification of results because of reports of irregularities.
Kari Lake, the Arizona GOP gubernatorial nominee, stated on Twitter over the weekend that, “Arizonans have no Faith & Trust in our Elections. Our Election Officials are incompetent (…or worse)[.] They have failed us. The Fake News Media ignores our Fake Elections and expect us to just ‘move on.’ We won’t. America will NOT survive if we don’t demand Election Reform NOW.”
According to The Epoch Times, the Maricopa County GOP had stated in a recent news release that the Maricopa Board of Supervisors should delay its certification of the results of the election until they responded to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich’s office’s letter demanding answers about the chaos of the county’s election processes.
“These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law,” the letter stated, per RSBN.
Maricopa County was rampant with reports of tabulator problems and malfunctioning voting machines. According to a report from Just the News, a little over 60 percent of voting centers observed by roving attorneys from the RNC reportedly witnessed material problems with tabulators not being able to count ballots.
Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs was also the Democrat gubernatorial nominee in this election cycle. “The Secretary of State running her own election was like a fox guarding the henhouse,” the Kari Lake War Room wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
Per Just the News, Lake filed a lawsuit against Maricopa County last week that intended to force the embattled county to release documents related to voting and election irregularities.
“Every single rule was pretty much broken when it came to Election Day voting where they punish the people who chose to show up on Election Day,” she told the outlet.
