Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., slammed Joe Biden on Twitter on Monday for his comments surrounding the abortion debate.
“My dad used to say, ‘Joey, don’t compare me to the Almighty. Compare me to the alternative,” Biden’s Twitter account stated. “And here’s the deal: Democrats want to codify Roe. Republicans want a national ban on abortion. The choice is clear.”
Green quickly hit back, dismantling Biden’s claims with her signature feisty approach. “’Codify Roe’ really means abortion at 40 weeks,” Greene responded. “Democrats want a federal law to kill unborn children at any time, even the day they are born. Pelosi led Dems to pass abortion at 40 weeks TWICE this Congress.”
She added, “Yes Joey, codifying Roe is from the alternative, not the Almighty.”
The abortion debate was strongly revived in June when the Supreme Court swiftly overturned Roe v. Wade. Per RSBN, the reversal of the “right” to abortion returned the issue to the sovereign states and resulted in at least 13 states implementing immediate “trigger bans.” These bans were ready and waiting to go into effect in conservative states who have long been poised to ban abortion.
Greene has taken a strong stance on the abortion issue, mirroring Arizona GOP gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake’s fearless approach to dealing with the politics on the issue. Last week, Greene remarked that she and Lake shared the “same fear” of “not stopping the evil attacks on our children’s future.”
She continued, “To be extremely clear. WE WILL NEVER BACK DOWN. The American Revival is only beginning. We have just begun.”
Greene easily won her primary for reelection in Georgia last May, and she is expected to rocket to victory in the midterm general election next month.
