Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., called for justice on Monday in the aftermath of jaw-dropping evidence of censorship, big government collusion, and even child pornography that was reportedly facilitated on the platform.
“With the information released from the Twitter Files, the DOJ should already be preparing to prosecute people who formerly worked at Twitter for election interference, 1st amendment violations of speech & press, and child pornography, but the DOJ is nothing but a…political arm of the Dem party and is now weaponized against the right,” she wrote on Twitter.
Elon Musk, who assumed ownership of Twitter in October, fired a shot of truth heard ‘round the world in early December by releasing the first installment of what he called the “Twitter Files.” The data drops in each of these threads have disseminated incredible evidence of the social media platform’s prior collusion with federal agencies to censor and suspend free speech.
“The DOJ is no longer trusted to fairly uphold and enforce our constitution, laws, and justice system because of their far left political bias,” Greene continued. “Republicans must use budget/approps to gut & restore the DOJ.”
The third installment of the “Twitter Files” revealed that President Donald Trump was suspended from the platform in 2021 on allegedly politically-motivated grounds, highlighting shadowed meetings between Twitter executives and federal agencies, as reported by RSBN.
The fourth installment gave more detail on the removal of President Trump from the platform, pointing to evidence that former Twitter Head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth and former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey had been pushing for stricter rules to allow permanent suspension for purportedly violative accounts, via the Washington Examiner.
Even worse, past tweets from Roth have resurfaced, reportedly illustrating his disturbing predilection for making sexually inappropriate comments regarding children. This kind of language, in part, is likely what Greene is referring to when she is discussing “child pornography” on Twitter. There have also been reports of widely unregulated pornographic imagery on the platform in the past.
Founder of cybersecurity group Ghost Data wrote on Twitter that since Musk took over the company, she observed, “In the past 24 hours, Twitter started to step up its efforts and took down 44.000 suspicious accounts, including over 1.300 profiles that tried to bypass detection using codewords and text in images to communicate. Zero tolerance.”
Additionally, Musk made it clear in November that addressing issues of child sexual exploitation on the platform was “Priority #1[.]”
If Rep. Greene has her way, former Twitter employees who were allegedly engaged in illicit activities, from censorship to the facilitation of inappropriate content for minors, could be facing the wrath of the justice system.
