First Lady Melania Trump visited the U.S. Coast Guard for a special Christmas visit honoring America’s service members during the Christmas season.
In a tweet on Friday, Melania Trump shared pictures of her Christmas visit with members of the U.S. Coast Guard, reminding Americans of the brave men and women who defend this nation while millions of Americans enjoy freedom and security during the Christmas season.
In her tweet, Melania described her visit with the U.S. Coast Guard, “Wonderful Christmas visit with members of the U.S. Coast Guard.” She also thanked the men and women who defend this nation’s freedoms, “Thank you for everything you do to protect our country!”
Many Americans take for granted the peace, security, and freedom they enjoy during the Christmas season. However, Melania’s visit reminds Americans of the sacrifices of America’s service members in the armed forces during Christmas. In her tweet, she wrote, “Remember to say a special prayer for our great service members who are away from loved ones during the holidays.”
President Trump and Melania Trump have both expressed their strong support for America’s service members countless times over the past several years. The Trump administration rebuilt the United States military and took great care of America’s veterans and active duty service members. The 45th president campaigned on the promise of a strong military in 2016 and kept his promise throughout his presidency of honoring America’s service members.
President Trump and Melania Trump have visited the different branches of the U.S. military on numerous occasions in an effort to honor those who devote their lives to the defense of this nation. In 2018, they went to Al Asad Air Base in Iraq for a special Christmas visit with America’s troops. After their visit with America’s service members, Trump stated, “One thing is certain, we have incredible people representing our Country.”
