Fiery Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., called for an end to politicized justice in America, highlighting the double standard of treatment between Jan. 6 prisoners and far-left radical rioters.
“J6 defendants are being politically persecuted by a politically weaponized government yet Antifa/BLM/Trans protesters and rioters are set free,” Greene wrote on Twitter this week, commenting on a letter sent from State Rep. Mazzie Boyd, R-Mo., to the people of Missouri.
Rep. Boyd wrote a statement to defend Lloyd Cruz, a Jan. 6 prisoner who trespassed in the U.S. Capitol. “Lloyd is being sentenced to 2 years in the DC Federal gulag,” Boyd stated. “We must take a good hard look at where our country is going. We have political prisoners within our own country.”
Greene offered a solution to the political persecution within the U.S., adding, “In order to end it, we must impeach politically weaponized judges and defund and fire weaponized DOJ officials. Justice must be fair NOT political.”
The weaponized justice system has been a rallying cry for many conservatives who have watched the political persecution of leaders like President Trump or the Jan. 6 prisoners.
“REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS SHOULD DEFUND THE DOJ AND FBI UNTIL THEY COME TO THEIR SENSES,” Trump wrote recently on Truth Social. “THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TOTALLY WEAPONIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT IN OUR COUNTRY AND ARE VICIOUSLY USING THIS ABUSE OF POWER TO INTERFERE WITH OUR ALREADY UNDER SIEGE ELECTIONS.”
Greene agreed with Trump’s statement, writing, “I couldn’t agree more, Mr. President! This is exactly what I’m talking about when I say we need to use the Holman Rule to reign in the Democrats’ weaponization of government.”
The Holman Rule was initially implemented in 1876 in the House of Representatives, with the goal of enacting permanent reductions in federal spending through “changes in House rules of operation,” per the House.
