Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., told Hunter Biden off when he showed up at the House Oversight Committee’s Wednesday hearing regarding the resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress.
She said, “My first question is, who bribed Hunter Biden to be here today?”
Mace then scolded Biden for being “the epitome of white privilege” and showing up unannounced. She accused him of “ignoring a congressional subpoena to be deposed,” and asked, “What are you afraid of?”
She then challenged his integrity, which led to a commotion when Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., spoke out of turn, arguing with her.
Mace shouted over him as House Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-K.Y., called for order. She then declared, “I think Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now, and go straight to jail!”
Mace posted to X afterward, noting, “Hunter ran away, again.”
In another post, she wrote, “It’s no secret that Hunter Biden is using his privilege to evade any sense of accountability. He showed up in the People’s House as a PR stunt.”
She called it “horrendous” that he has political supporters “as he spits in the face of the American people.
Hunter Biden is at the center of a major “influence peddling” investigation involving his father Joe Biden. The House Oversight Committee has revealed questionable business transactions amounting to millions of dollars from various foreign countries allegedly connected to the Biden family, centered around Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
