Former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will not attend President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony on Monday.
The announcement was revealed by a spokesperson for the congresswoman on Thursday.
Pelosi, 84, recently broke her hip during a trip to Luxembourg late last year. She returned to the first day of the new Congress and the count of electoral votes on Jan. 6.
The longtime controversy between Pelosi and Trump extends for several years. During his presidential campaign in July, Trump challengedher to a debate about the Left’s attacks on America.
Trump shared the searing words on his Truth Social account after Pelosi’s recent comments on whether Joe Biden should continue in his 2024 presidential campaign.
“Crazy Nancy Pelosi is a Cognitive mess. She has now turned against Crooked Joe. She’s saying he doesn’t have what it takes,” Trump wrote.
“Really? I’d love to debate her about what the Radical Left Democrats have done to ruin our Country. She wouldn’t last 5 minutes!” he added.
On the same day, Trump included another post attacking Pelosi’s “pandering” to Biden.
“Crazy Nancy Pelosi is more of a cognitive mess than Sleepy Crooked Joe. She also suffers from a terminal case of TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Trump stated.
“She is a total nut job, who impeached me TWICE, and lost. Now I see her going around, barely, and saying that I am a threat to democracy. This is just Radical Left Democrat Disinformation, which is all that they’re good at. She’s trying to convince anyone that will listen that Crooked Joe is a mental giant, and in great form, which everyone knows, he is not,” he continued.
Trump also called out Pelosi as a “threat” to democracy and noted her lack of responsibility concerning the events of Jan. 6.
“She’s just continuing the LIE to the American People. Crazy Nancy is a threat to Democracy, a very sick one — And remember, she took full responsibility for not doing her job on Jan 6. It was her fault, and I’d like to thank her daughter for supplying the tape of Nancy’s ‘confession,’ but what took so long? Hiding evidence is a crime!” he concluded.
