The NCAA announced on Thursday it will change its policy regarding female sports and deny participation to biological males.

The move comes in the wake of an executive order signed by President Trump in a special White House ceremony on Wednesday, in which he declared the “war on women’s sports is over.”

According to the NCAA, the new policy “limits competition in women’s sports to student-athletes assigned female at birth only.”

The NCAA went on to state that the policy will be effective immediately, regardless of prior determinations of eligibility based on transgender identity.

President Trump praised the announcement of the NCAA in a Truth Social post.

“Exciting news! Due to my Executive Order, which I proudly signed yesterday, the NCAA has officially changed their policy of allowing men in Women’s Sports – IT IS NOW BANNED!” Trump said.

The issue of transgender ideology was a key point in Trump’s campaign and ultimate election victory in November.

President Trump continued, celebrating the victory of common sense in sports.

“This is a great day for women and girls across our Country. Men should have NEVER been allowed to compete against women in the first place, but I am proud to be the President to SAVE Women’s Sports.”

Trump implored the Olympics Committee to follow the example set by the NCAA and exclude biological males from participation in female sports as well. Trump emphasized in his post that this position has strong support from the majority of the population.

“We expect the Olympics Committee to also use Common Sense, and implement this policy, which is very popular among the American People, and the entire World!” Trump said.
