Respondents aged 40-64 registered a 54.3 percent approval rating and a 44.0 percent disapproval rating. Respondents aged 65 and over registered 37.9 percent approval and 61.0 percent disapproval.
The survey also questioned likely voters on their stance concerning the issue of Iran’s development of nuclear weapons, asking their opinion on President Trump’s position that Iran must be prevented from obtaining a nuclear weapon “by any means necessary.”
Trump received a strong majority of approval on the issue, with 74.4 percent of respondents saying they approved of Trump’s position while 22.9 percent disapproved. When the responses were analyzed along party lines, an overwhelming 89.2% majority of Republicans agreed with Trump.
