South Carolinians will head to the polls on June 11 for the state’s primary election. President Trump gave his signature “complete and total endorsement” to incumbent Rep. William Timmons, who represents South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District.

Timmons, who was first elected to the House in 2018, is facing off against Republican Adam Morgan, a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives.

President Trump referred to the race as a “big and very important Republican primary election” in his endorsement video of Timmons. He told Palmetto State voters, “I need you to get out and vote for my friend and your congressman William Timmons.”

The 45th president described Timmons as “an America First patriot who fights hard to secure our border, strengthen our military, support our veterans, grow the economy, defend our Second Amendment, and hold Crooked Joe Biden and the radical left accountable for all of their misdeeds.”

The state’s 4th Congressional District has only had one Democratic representative in the last four decades, but the seat is rarely uncontested amongst Republican candidates.

Timmons shared Trump’s endorsement video on X, formerly Twitter. He thanked the 45th president, writing, “Your support means a great deal to me. No one will work harder for the America First agenda in Congress!”

On Wednesday, Timmons posted photos from his team’s “successful day out door-knocking,” adding, “So much enthusiasm for our campaign from voters in Spartanburg, Taylors, Mauldin, and Marietta!”
