President Trump is defending Operation Midnight Hammer and its impact on Iranian nuclear facilities. The attack, which took place last summer, directly targeted Iranian nuclear sites with the objective of preventing the development of a nuclear weapon.
In a series of Truth Social posts, President Trump emphasized the outcome of the operation and called out opponents in the media and the Democratic Party for seeking to downplay its success.
“Never allow the Traitor Democrats like Low IQ person Hakeem Jeffries, or Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, or the totally corrupt Fake News Media such as the phony and decaying Wall Street Journal, the Failing New York Times (Subscriptions way down!), or dying “60 Minutes,” to demean or criticize Operation Midnight Hammer, which totally obliterated the Nuclear Dust locations to the point where bloodthirsty Iran has been unable to get to it, or dig it out,” President Trump said in a statement on Tuesday. “Space Force has cameras on every inch of the 3 sites that were so brilliantly hit last June!”
Operation Midnight Hammer struck the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant in Iran. At the time of the attack, the Department of War stated the U.S. had been researching Iranian nuclear facilities for 15 years, which allowed intelligence agencies to map the site and plan the strike accordingly. Air Force Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, noted the U.S. specifically developed the GBU-57 bomb to penetrate the Iranian structure.
President Trump’s defense of the operation followed his statement on Monday in which he characterized the strike as a major setback for the government of Iran and a win for the U.S. in thwarting its nuclear capabilities.
“Operation Midnight Hammer was a complete and total obliteration of the Nuclear Dust sites in Iran,” President Trump said. “Therefore, digging it out will be a long and difficult process. Fake News CNN, and other corrupt Media Networks and Platforms, fail to give our great aviators the credit they deserve – Always trying to demean and belittle – LOSERS!!!”
