President Donald Trump made it safely to China and received a red carpet welcome complete with flowers, cheers and a fist-bump.

He was greeted by Chinese Vice President Hang Zhang, U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdu and a crowd that lined the red carpet, waving both the Chinese and American flags.

The trip is expected to strengthen U.S.-China relations on trade and business and may help resolve the War in Iran.

President Trump had originally planned to make the trip in March, but the war delayed the visit. Pushing it back gave him time to add a delegation of top U.S. CEOs, including Elon Musk.

This is his first trip to China since 2017 and spans through May 15.
