President Donald Trump revealed on Thursday the full scope of the Wednesday-night kickoff to the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C., on the National Mall.

“The Crowd was incredible last night, packed to the brim — At least 45,000 people were there, with a huge Television and online audience,” the president wrote on Truth Social.

As reported by RSBN, the president held a kickoff rally on Wednesday aimed at commemorating the Great American State Fair event – a 16-day event in celebration of America’s upcoming 250th birthday.

“I wish we were able to have an even larger area, which we will be able to do on July 4th when I’ll be speaking again,” the president continued in his statement.

He added, “The airplane flyovers and music were fantastic. Everybody stayed right until the end of my Speech because they loved hearing about a truly successful America. See you again on July 4th!”

The patriotic event on Wednesday featured an array of musical performances from singers like Christopher Macchio and Lee Greenwood. It also featured the talent of the military, like the U.S. Army Band and the U.S. Marine Band.

The event also opened with an impressive flyover by a U.S. B2 Stealth Bomber.

“Tonight, as we stand on the edge of our 250th year of independence, I am thrilled to declare that America is back,” the president declared in his remarks, per RSBN.

He continued, “As you know very well, a short time ago, we were a dead country. We were dead. Now we’re the hottest country anywhere in the world. We’re respected by everybody. Nobody’s laughing at us anymore. Two years ago, they were laughing. Now, we’re the most respected anywhere.”

The president’s speech was shorter than his usual rally-style remarks, clocking in at about 30 minutes.

The Great American State Fair officially opened to the public on Thursday. The occasion was marked with a presentation of colors and the National Anthem.
