President Donald Trump ripped Democrats on Saturday for the endless political witch hunt that has been allowed to continue at the hands of the Jan. 6 Unselect Committee, stating that all they want to do is “put people in jail.”
In a heated statement released through his Save America PAC, President Trump held no quarter in his attack on the Democrats’ endless pursuit of information related to the so-called “insurrection” at the United States Capitol on Jan. 6.
“They [Democrats] are vicious, violent, and Radical Left thugs,” Trump stated. “They are destroying people’s lives, which is the only thing they are good at.”
The highly-partisan Jan. 6 Unselect Committee was formed in response to the pro-Trump election integrity rally that occurred in Washington D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021. A group of protesters gained access into the Capitol Building, and the mainstream media and Trump’s political opponents have since labeled the event an “insurrection.”
Throughout the course of 2021, the Jan. 6 Committee has handed out subpoenas like candy to many of Trump’s former advisors, demanding that they testify about their involvement regarding the incident.
Trump continued in his statement, “They [Democrats] couldn’t get out of Afghanistan without disgracing our Country. The economy and inflation are a disaster. They’re letting thugs and murderers into our Country—their DA’s, AG’s, and Dem Law Enforcement are out of control. This is what happens in communist countries and dictatorships, and they don’t think they’ll be held accountable for rigging the 2020 Presidential Election.”
President Trump’s statement is fiery, lambasting Democrat lawmakers for their disastrous policies and unabashedly accusing them of rampant corruption and belligerence. Last week, the Jan. 6 Committee admitted that they doctored a text message between Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows.
The text message was presented as evidence at a hearing and read aloud by Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff, who reportedly did not read the full message and abstained from sharing any context on it. Additionally, Schiff presented a false image to the committee, intending to make it look like he had a screen shot of the text when he did not.
In response to this blatant corruption, Mark Meadows has filed a lawsuit against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on the grounds that the committee did not have the authority to issue a subpoena for personal information from his phone records. Throughout the course of the Jan. 6 Committee’s attempts to subpoena President Trump’s allies, they have stubbornly refused to acknowledge any claims of executive privilege.
President Trump is keeping his eye on the prize, blasting the political persecution from the Jan. 6 Committee as a cover-up for the reports of overwhelming voter fraud and election irregularities that took place across the country during the 2020 presidential election.
“The Jan. 6 Unselect Committee is a cover-up for what took place on November 3rd, and the people of our Country won’t stand for it,” he concluded.
