President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) later this month, the group confirmed.
CPAC, which had previously endorsed Trump in January, expressed their support of the president’s reelection bid shortly after breaking news of his speech.
“[President Donald Trump] has proven his love and commitment to the conservative, America First grassroots movement yet again,” CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp wrote in a statement on Friday.
“The grassroots are devoted to him for his courage, for his strength, for his extraordinary accomplishments as the 45th president of the United States, for being their tireless voice for the last four years, and what he will do to Make America Great Again,” Schlapp concluded.
Trump’s 14th debut at the event will break the record of President Ronald Reagan, who had previously spoken at CPAC 13 times from its first gathering in 1974 through his final year in the White House.
Like Reagan, Trump also began speaking at the event long before his presidency. The 45th president first spoke at CPAC in February 2011, where he flirted with the idea of seeking the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
CPAC, scheduled Feb. 21-24, will take place at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort & Convention Center in the historic National Harbor, Maryland—located on the outskirts of Washington, D.C.
Besides Trump, other featured speakers include former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Trump HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and numerous others.
A final schedule for times of speakers’ remarks has not yet been released.
