Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., released a must-see video where he warned against the Democrats’ $5 trillion spending spree.
“We are facing a big fight for the economic future, and quite frankly, for the political future of the United States of America, and it’s wrapped up in these bills that spend incredible amounts of money,” the Arizona congressman said.
Biggs warned that Biden’s astronomically-priced infrastructure package would cause tax hikes on businesses that are higher than those in “communist China.”
When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attempted to push the massive infrastructure bill forward, she delayed the vote after it became apparent that there were not enough votes to pass it. Two Democrat lawmakers refused to vote for the deal because they do not believe the U.S. can afford to spend on another multi-trillion dollar package.
Sen. Joe Manchin D-W.Va., said in a press release, “Respectfully, as I have said for months, I can’t support $3.5 trillion more in spending when we have already spent $5.4 trillion since last March. At some point, all of us, regardless of party must ask the simple question – how much is enough?”
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., has also vowed not to vote for the bill at its current cost.
Other members of the House Freedom Caucus publicly oppose the bill, including freshman Rep. Bob Good, R-Va.
Good began listing the unacceptable tenets of the bill which he said include “climate extremism,” and “things like racist infrastructure.”
He called on all Republicans to join him in voting against the bill which he says will turn America into an “unrecognizable, European-like country.”
The bill’s price tag is expected to be reduced to $2 trillion after negotiations, which is the number Sen. Manchin said he would agree to vote for.
President Donald Trump urged Republicans to stand strong against the “Democrat socialist calamity.”
“It’s so bad…Republicans have to stay strong. Stay strong. You have to fight,” said the 45th president.
