Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., eviscerated Dallas parents seen taking children to a drag show in a blazing statement posted to Twitter on Sunday.

“It should be illegal to take children into Drag Queen shows and strip clubs,” she wrote. “And there should be no federal funding for any school that intentionally confuses children about gender/sexuality. Any teacher or school employee caught doing so should be fired and lose all benefits.”

Last week, shocking videos of children attending a drag queen show in Dallas, Texas, surfaced on the internet. The event, called “Drag the Kids to Pride,” featured underage children being pulled on stage to dance with drag queens as parents looked on.

Rep. Greene is not the only parent or conservative to convey shock and outrage in response to the videos. Prominent conservative commentator and podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey remarked on Twitter, “Every single Republican legislature should be creating a bill to criminalize drag shows that involve children. The parents, performers, bar owners – everyone should be charged with sexual abuse of children.”

According to journalist and author Andy Ngo, the event was held in Dallas at Mr. Misster, a gay bar and nightclub. A sign mounted on the stage where the children were dancing read: “It’s not gonna lick itself.”

The event sparked demonstrations outside of the bar where the show took place. The Daily Mail reported that while some picketed outside in protest of the event, others showed up to support the bar’s pride-themed show.

Many conservatives have accused the adults organizing the event and the parents who brought their children to the drag show of exhibiting “grooming” behavior. Jack Posobiec, conservative pundit and host of Human Events, commented on Twitter, “There is no ‘debate’ to be had about grooming children[.] It is wrong[.] Promoting drag to kids at a sex show in Dallas or a Pizza Hut promotion is wrong every time[.]”

Rep. Greene added in another Twitter statement, “We must protect children from child grooming predators & abusers in every way possible.”
