Late Monday evening, President Donald Trump responded on Truth Social to the news that “Diamond,” one of the two political powerhouse sister commentators of “Diamond and Silk,” had suddenly passed away.

Diamond, whose real name was Lynette Hardaway, was a staunch supporter of President Trump and was known for her vivacious and truthful commentary among conservatives.

Trump’s statement reflected the tragedy the conservative movement felt at the news of Diamond’s passing:

“Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans. Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina. Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!”

Mike Lindell, a fearless election integrity advocate and the CEO of MyPillow, also responded to the news on Twitter. “There are no words to express the tragic loss of a dear friend Diamond, of Diamond & Silk,” he wrote. “We are praying the Lord would comfort Silk and their whole family during this time… ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ Psalm 34:18[.]”

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., also reacted to the crushing news:

Dr. Ben Carson, the former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during the Trump administration, further remarked on Twitter: “Diamond of @DiamondandSilk was an incredible person who truly cared about America. I enjoyed going on the show because she was always positive, with a smile, and reminded people why America is so important and worth saving. We send condolences to Silk and Diamond’s entire family.”

According to a report from Fox5 Atlanta, “Diamond and Silk” began their political commentating careers as bloggers and public speakers during the 2016 campaign of President Donald Trump.

The outlet reported that the pair were even invited to the 45th president’s 2017 inauguration. Most recently, the pair had been hosting their own show, “Diamond and Silk: Crystal Clear,” on Newsmax.

Father Frank Pavone also commented on the death of Diamond.
