Actor Sylvester Stallone offered an epic introduction to President Donald Trump on Thursday night at an event in Mar-a-Lago, referring to him as “a second George Washington.”

The surprise appearance by Stallone at the America First Policy Gala applauded Trump’s work ahead of the president’s speech before an all-star lineup of political leaders.

“We’re in the presence of a really mythical character. I love mythology. And this individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off, so I’m in awe,” Stallone said.

“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was gonna change the world. Because without him, you could imagine what the world would look like. Guess what? We got the second George Washington,” he added.

In the opening moments of his two-minute introduction, Stallone compared one of his iconic characters, Rocky Balboa, and Trump. He described the legendary boxer as a “chosen person” who would “change lives,” much like the president.

The action star, who is currently starring in “Tulsa King” on Paramount+, was part of a celebrity lineup of Trump supporters.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was nominated for Secretary of Health and Human Services, attended the gala with his wife, Cheryl Hines. Tulsi Gabbard, who is being considered for the role of Director of National Intelligence, was also in attendance.

Kennedy and Gabbard’s table was joined by prominent donor Omeed Malik, Gabbard’s husband Abraham Williams and Kennedy’s daughter-in-law Amaryllis Fox Kennedy. Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle were also seen at the event.

During Trump’s speech, he also revealed his plans to nominate North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum to serve as the Secretary of the Interior. The nomination adds to a growing list of leadership announcements from Trump this week. He also announced Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz as his nominee for U.S. Attorney General.

Late Wednesday, Trump confirmed reports that he is nominating Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio as the Secretary of State. Trump’s appointments began last week when he first announced Susan Wiles as his White House Chief of Staff, making her the first female to hold the position.
