Businessman Kevin O’Leary, perhaps the most colorful star of the reality television show “Shark Tank,” has weighed in with his thoughts about how the New York guilty verdict in President Donald Trump’s hush money case has affected the 2024 race to the White House.

He told Piers Morgan, “This is the law of unintended consequences. Alvin Bragg started charging Trump and immediately, the entire Republican Party coalesced behind him, almost in 48 hours.”

O’Leary continued, “Of course, the country bifurcated into this being a political witch hunt, using lawfare as a tool…but here’s what’s really interesting. If Trump becomes president, I think he has a big debt to Alvin Bragg. Alvin Bragg is the kingmaker, he made Trump president by polarizing the country so much, and motivating the base so much.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is the prosecutor who brought the 34 felony charges against President Trump in 2023, which were based upon allegations of the falsification of business records.

O’Leary argued that Bragg, like it or hate it, was the “kingmaker” who would be responsible for supercharging voters to take a stand in the 2024 election.

He explained, “I think history will show, he [Bragg] made Donald Trump president one more time.”

As reported by RSBN, O’Leary has previously spoken out about the “unjust” duplicity in the justice system in New York shortly after the 45th president received a shockingly expensive judgment from Judge Arthur Engoron in a civil business suit that wound down earlier this year.

He said, “It’s not about Trump. It’s appalling. It’s unjust. I would go as far to say it’s un-American.”

O’Leary also said that the real estate industry in New York was “stunned” in the wake of the civil ruling, which slapped Trump with a staggering $350 million judgment and a three-year ban on doing business in the Empire State.
