The midterm elections will test the extent to which American voters believe Biden’s lies

Last night, Joe Biden delivered a speech where he called MAGA Republicans a “clear and present danger to our democracy” and a “threat to the foundation of the Republic.” His rhetoric was divisive, incendiary, and tactless. It presented a message to Americans that was blatantly and knowingly false. Joe Biden stood in front of the American people and lied to their faces. Biden’s fate in 2024, and the Democrats’ fate in 2022, hinges on whether American voters believe his many lies.

According to Biden, the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution embody the ideas of equality and democracy – the bedrocks of America. MAGA Republicans are a danger to democracy and a threat to the foundation of the Republic.

America’s democracy relies upon adherence to the Constitution, the nation’s laws, the different branches of government, federalism, and the various freedoms that Americans enjoy, among other things. Biden has systematically, yet strategically, failed Americans in every category. While Biden correctly asserted that America’s democracy is being threatened, he and the Democrats in Congress, not MAGA Republicans, are to blame.

They have wronged the United States of America in numerous ways. Biden and other Democrats have: ignored the Constitution, disregarded Supreme Court precedent, usurped the rights of the individual states, issued unlawful executive orders and mandates, unconstitutionally attempted to codify various items into law, worked to federalize the elections, and tried to usurp the power of one or more branches of government. Yet, Biden has the audacity to blame MAGA Republicans for threatening democracy when his actions represent an effort to gut the very principles he allegedly supports?

While some Americans will question such conclusions as partisan talking points, the reality on the ground is much more convincing and cares little about partisanship. For example, inflation is nearing record highs, and Democrats are printing and spending money that the nation does not have. Supplies are scarce, food prices are high, gas prices are expected to rise again, and many Americans are in financial trouble, sometimes having to choose between paying their rent or mortgage and putting food on the table. Stated differently – the nation is in a recession no matter how hard Biden tries to finagle the definition of this term.

The nation is also facing an increasingly high crime rate and a border catastrophe the likes of which America has not seen. Internationally, the war between Ukraine and Russia continues in part due to Biden’s weakness and poor leadership. The Middle East is in a very volatile state due to Biden’s consistent efforts to appease America’s adversaries. Afghanistan is also in disarray after Biden’s terribly executed withdrawal, which led to the death of many American servicemen/servicewomen and gave the Taliban some of the nation’s most sophisticated weapons. America’s adversaries no longer fear the United States and leaders around the world no longer respect this great nation.

In his speech, Biden stated, “MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards. Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.” This, too, is a lie. While many states have implemented strict anti-abortion laws, some have not taken such measures. To blame MAGA Republicans for the decisions of various individual states is simply nonsensical, nor does the decision of several states mean that America (as a whole) is a country where there is no right to choose.

Biden’s claims regarding privacy, contraception, and marital rights were also false. The Supreme Court in Dobbs specifically noted that its decision had no bearing on these issues except that abortion could not find a home under a purported constitutional “right to privacy.”

While Biden and Democrats in Congress want Americans to believe that MAGA Republicans are a danger to democracy, Americans must be objective and reject such divisive efforts and outright lies. MAGA Republicans are not in control of the House, Senate, or the White House. Democrats are. Biden and congressional Democrats are responsible for the dire circumstances that many Americans are currently facing.

Through his speech, Biden confirmed what many Americans have suspected since he took office. He is not a unifier; he is a divider who will use whomever and whatever he can to accomplish his goals and the goals of those on the far left. He is hoping that Americans are gullible enough to believe the lies that he is feeding them. Tragically, these lies won’t help the person or family that can’t afford to pay for food or rent, or the millions of Americans who are unable to make ends meet due to the high costs and record-setting inflation.

Americans should reject Biden’s lies. They must show Biden that they are not simply pawns that Biden can control when he needs to make a move. Biden is right about the real and serious threat to the nation’s democracy. However, he is lying about the root cause of this threat. The nation’s problems began when he took office and when Democrats gained control of Congress and have worsened ever since. MAGA Republicans have nothing to do with these failed policies or the meticulous and intentional efforts to remove the various constitutional rights and protections afforded to all Americans.

Biden and his far-left colleagues in Congress built this version of America. As such, Americans should reject his lies outright.
