The Sharia-Free America Caucus continues rapid-fire growth as the population of Islam continues to clash with Western values. Co-Founder Rep. Keith Self, R-Tex., announced that the organization now consists of 59 members across 24 states in a post to X on Tuesday.
“Every Member of Congress should join us in defending Western values and the rule of law,” he declared. “The Constitution is the supreme law of the land — not Sharia.”
According to Islamic-laws.com, Sharia law is the religious law of Islam. It is a totalitarian system that deems religious authority as an unquestionable power. Under this religious system, men are the owners of their female family members, and anyone who rebels against Islam is to be archaically murdered by stoning, crucifixion or other brutal methods.
A 2019 Sharia Law & Human Rights meeting sponsored by the European Center for Law & Justice found that Sharia Law is especially brutal to women, girls, homosexuals, and anyone who is not a Muslim. Under this religious zealotry, women must submit to abusive husbands. Young girls are forced to have their genitals mutilated to prevent promiscuity, and are subject to child marriages. Homosexuality is punishable by death, as is converting from Islam or speaking out against it.
The Visions of Humanity organization released a report on The Global Terrorism Index, noting that the “Islamic State (IS) and its affiliates remained the deadliest terrorist organisation in 2026, responsible for just under 17 per cent of all attacks worldwide.”
The report also found that “Iran risks becoming another breeding ground for terrorist militias if it becomes a failed State.”
Last year, the UK Parliament debated the rise in illegal immigration. Politician Chris Philp noted that unlawful immigration rose by 52% and allowed 23,000 illegals into the nation. The connection between these illegals and crimes was heavily debated, as he also pointed out, “Many nationalities crossing—for example, Afghans—commit up to 20 times more sex offences than average.”
By November, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order deeming harmful chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations.

Rep. Mark Harris, R-N.C., spoke about the need to expand the Sharia-Free America Caucus to ensure that Americans’ Constitutional rights remain the law of the land. During an interview on Newsmax that he posted to X, he stated, “We see a really dangerous trajectory that is seeming to start taking hold here in America, and that is this whole idea of Sharia law in many of our communities.”
He spoke about the rise in radicalized Islam in North Carolina and Texas. He noted that the Sharia-Free Caucus has grown to ensure that this form of religious zealotry doesn’t take hold in the United States. “America cannot normalize Sharia law, and I want it out of my country completely,” he concluded.
